The original ash bin was getting so thin, that even the repairs were on top of repairs. This replacement is an easy substitute. Very well made, tough and I am sure will last for many years. Where the corners have been cut on the top plate, it leaves a slightly larger gap for some ash to get past, but that gets hoovered up when the bin is emptied. For anybody looking for a Baxi ash bin, this is a good choice.

Our old ashpan was a little worse for wear and I was a little apprehensive about replacing it as it was so old (about 50 years!!) But fortunately Baxi still produce spares to the same size as they always have and the measurements given were foolproof and it fits perfectly. We can now take it outside without fear of the bottom dropping off!!

Fitted perfect. Last one was 44 yrs old!

Sturdily made and it's good that you can still get this replacement part for very old Baxi fires. However, this lost stars for arriving filthy dirty and with a dent in the lip.

Just a handy tool in the fire

Direct replacement that is well made, my experience is that these last about ten years or so and it is great that spares are available at a reasonable price.
